A Baton Rouge woman was cited after a two year old child fell from a moving van Wednesday morning. It happened in the 8400 block of Goodwood Blvd.
Baton Rouge police said the driver was driving a non-medical transport van, owned by a Baton Rouge non-profit organization.
Police said the mother was taking another child, her newborn baby, to the hospital when the driver, Debra Jackson, made a turn allowing the sliding door to open, with the child falling out.
Jackson told police, she has had trouble with the door before.
The child had minor injuries.
