Blog assignment #55

My Thanksgiving break was great!!!! On the first Sunday and Monday, I went to a conference in Alexandria called YEC, Youth Evangelical Celebration. There were over 7100 people in attendance with a concert by MercyMe. I had a great time even though the bus ride was freezing.  Oh my, I forgot somehting really important to my week. Saturday night I went to the edge of the Amite river and and camped in the sand with my Kru before getting up earlier and going to church. All of my camping gear was wet and sandy and gross but UI had to leave them with Daddy and go to YEC. So, because I left him with all of teh work, i came home and he took care of a bunch, but I finished it while he was at work. Back to the camping trip though. We camped on the beach and sang to the music on our phones. One of the people there kept making fun of me because he didn't think I listened to to country, it was quite funny because I knew all of the songs and he didn't.
On to something new, now. On Tuesday I slept until noon to make up for lost sleep while camping in the freezing cold and then hotel sleep is never good either. I was supposed to go play paintball, but a decided I was not going to be able to play it and have the first time playing fun that i should've had, so i just stayed home and slept. Heaven on earth:) Later that day, I watched The Italian Job starring Mark Walberg-great movie.
On Wednesday, I stayed home until late that day and then my family went out to eat. We had an interesting experience. We were trying to go to meet my daddy on his way home for work at a restruant in manchac but I will get there in a minute. We started off by going to one cemetery and placing flowers on my mawmaw's grave. We then tried to go the Catfish Charlie's to get a gift card for one of my uncles for Christmas but they were closed for Thanksgiving. So, we left there and went to another cemetery to put more flowers on my great-grandparents' and my great-great-grandparents' graves. We did that and left the cemetery and went to Midendorf's, another seafood place:) but it was closed too :( We then went to Hammond and ate at the Mexican place that starts with an 'A'. Daddy meet us there and We ate and daddy let me drive!!!!!! I drove to Walmart and got some stuff then I took the interstate for the first time and went home. That was the longest I have ever driven and I got to do some city driving in Hammond, parking lot in Wal-mart, interstate on 12 and then more country driving to get home.
Thanksgiving was at my pawpaw's wife's house and we had so great food :) burp
On friday, I did not do anything :) Oh, on Sunday-Tuesday i read a book series called the Hunger Games, cool, junior high, but still interesting.
On Saturday, Mom, Daddy, Lizzy and I went to see the Nutcracker in NOLA and that was a lot of fun because before we went, we had lunch at Midendorf's for real !!!!! :)
On Sunday, I went to church and then, Lizzy and I went to see the new Harry Potter movie in Hammond and went to Target and Books a Million to go Christmas shopping and I got home a wrapped them and they are under the tree:) Oh!!! that is what I did on Friday!!! I set the tree up and got it out of the attic and all of our other billions of decorations!! :) yay!!!!!
